Last summer our extended family was on vacation at the beach and we ran out of grits for my famous shrimp and grits. Sacrilege! Luckily we had a stash of pancakes in the freezer. In a few short moments, we had a new, hearty vehicle to use in finishing off the excess shrimp and sauce. Crisis averted!
The mix pairs surprisingly well with savory items because there isn't a whole lot of added sugar and real grains (not over-refined powders) are very versatile.
